Most hygiene appointments end the same way: the scale-and-polish is done, the patient rinses, and the tongue — the single largest reservoir of oral bacteria in the mouth — is left untouched. TS1 is the minute-long final step a lot of practices didn’t realise they were missing.

Chapter Two
Two sides, one clean tongue.
The business end of the TS1 has been thought through properly.
One face is covered in soft silicone nubs, designed to massage the TS1 cleansing gel gently into the tongue surface without irritating the papillae. Flip it over and the other face is a slatted vacuum grille, which lifts the loosened bacterial coating away with gentle suction.
The result is what the manufacturer calls a “freshly vacuumed deep-pile carpet” effect, and it’s remarkably visible at the chairside. Patients describe the sensation as significantly more pleasant than rotating brushes or metal scrapers, with a notably lower gagging reflex.

Clean.
Apply a pea-sized blob of TS1 cleansing gel onto the nubbed side, massage gently across the dorsum, then flip to the slatted side and vacuum the loosened biofilm away.
Complete.
Typically the whole cycle is done in about sixty seconds, leaving patients with a genuinely fresh feeling that’s hard to fake with any other chairside tool.
