Perfect Trays

The original bleaching trays, refined for twenty years.

Dr Wyman Chan first patented Perfect Trays in 2003, and we’ve been refining them ever since. Every tray is hand-crafted in our lab and quality-checked before it leaves us, so when one lands in your patient’s mouth it just works: comfortable, invisible, and beautifully predictable.

Chapter One

Two decades of quiet refinement.

Dr Wyman Chan patented Perfect Trays in 2003. More than twenty years later, they’re still the bleaching trays clinicians reach for when they want a whitening case to just work — comfortable in the mouth, invisible in the photograph, predictable in the outcome.

Every tray is hand-crafted in our UK lab, quality-checked before it ships, and built around the two features that most consumer trays still miss: the signature dimple reservoirs and the built-in gingival barriers. Pair them with HP6 for the full one-hour-a-day conscious bleaching protocol.

Twenty years in surgery is its own kind of peer review.

— On why the trays still sell

Chapter Two

Four quiet reasons dentists keep coming back.

Beyond “they’re the original” — here’s what makes Perfect Trays earn their place in the drawer.

01

The famous dimples.

Those little reservoirs aren’t decorative. They help patients place precise beads of bleaching gel exactly where they need to go, so you get maximum results with minimum mess — and a lot less wasted product over a course.

02

Built-in gingival barriers.

Special barriers near the gum margins seal the gel in and keep saliva out. Patients stay comfortable, the gel stays where it’s supposed to, and sensitivity barely makes an appearance.

03

Premium through and through.

Every single tray is checked by our team before it ships. We’ve been making these by hand for over twenty years, so when we say quality, we really mean it.

04

Genuinely invisible.

Made from high-clarity materials that disappear in the mouth. Patients wear them confidently, and you get before-and-after photos that actually look like before-and-after work — not like someone’s testing a mouthguard.

Chapter Three

Real cases, real clinics.

Chapter Four

How ordering works.

Three steps. Impressions in, finished trays back.

Step 01

Take impressions

In your usual way — alginate or PVS both work beautifully. Pick single arch or dual depending on the case.

Step 02

Send us the prescription

Fill out the patient prescription form further down this page, tell us whether HP6 should come with the trays, and we’ll get cracking in the lab.

Step 03

Receive and fit

Your finished Perfect Trays arrive ready to fit. Walk your patient through the routine, hand them their gel, and they’re off.

Our protocol

We only whiten while the patient is awake.

Dr Wyman Chan coined the phrase conscious bleaching back in 2003, and it's the protocol choice that quietly fixes the most problems.

Overnight whitening is still the default in plenty of practices, and we understand the appeal — the patient does nothing, you see a new shade at the next appointment, everyone's happy. But overnight bleaching has one stubborn flaw: the patient can't tell you when it's starting to bite. Sensitivity builds in the dark, hour by hour. By morning, the enamel is upset, the patient is uncomfortable, and you're the one having the awkward follow-up call about a week off.

The DOCS whitening protocol is built around the opposite idea. H2O2 never stays in the mouth for more than an hour per session, once or twice a day. One hour a day with HP6 and Perfect Trays. A careful paint-on with Get2Smile. The patient is awake throughout, and a single twinge of sensitivity is an immediate signal to pause — not a three-in-the-morning surprise. The day after, they whiten for a minute less than the time the first twinge arrived, and the protocol self-tunes around them.

It sounds almost trivial written down. In practice, it's why whitening cases on this protocol tend to generate so few sensitivity complaints. The patient becomes the early warning system, and the early warning system actually works — because they're awake to use it. If sensitivity shows up within twenty minutes of bleaching, that's the signal to switch to DWC8 in trays for two hours a day over two weeks, desensitise first, and pick up the whitening once the teeth are calm. Your team gets to make the call with them, in the moment, rather than picking up the pieces the next day.
