Chapter One

A quieter hygiene appointment.

If you’ve been in dentistry long enough, you know what the hygiene block sounds like: the high whine of the scaler, the patient bracing in the chair, the little intakes of breath when a tender pocket gets touched. Magic 3 is the answer to a quiet question a lot of clinicians have been asking for years — does it have to sound like that?

Painted on, left for ten minutes, rinsed away. The foam disrupts the extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) that hold biofilm together and degrades plaque by pulling the anaerobic bacteria out of it. Gingival inflammation quietens. Bleeding points stop bleeding. The enamel underneath gets a conditioning alkaline bath instead of a vibration.

Because Magic 3 is Britain’s only MHRA Class I medical device for colourless plaque disclosure and degradation, it’s cleared for every age in the book — paediatric, orthodontic, adult, elderly. Same foam, same ten minutes, same quieter appointment.

Painless, vibration-free, no aerosols. Anxious patients, children, ortho cases — you can finally welcome them in without the usual dread.

— What clinicians tell us most

Chapter Two

How a Magic 3 appointment runs.

Three steps. Ten minutes. Nothing sharp.

01

Apply.

Pop on the lip retractor, take a medium-long bristled brush, and paint Magic 3 over every tooth surface and any swollen gum tissue. The bubbles start straight away, gently lifting plaque into view without dyes or stains.

02

Wait.

Slip a face mask on the patient and let Magic 3 do its work for eight to ten minutes. No drilling, no scraping, just a calm pause for both of you while the foam degrades the plaque on its own. A good chance for notes or a cup of tea.

03

Brush and rinse.

A quick once-over with a single tufted brush picks up anything stubborn, then a rinse with water washes it all away. Clean teeth, calmer gums, happy patient.

Chapter Three

Prevent, correct, protect.

Three different clinical jobs, all addressed in the same ten-minute window.

Prevent

Catch the everyday troublemakers early.

Dental caries, gingivitis, and the white patches that appear on enamel during orthodontic treatment. The foam discloses plaque as it works, gently degrading it across the ten-minute window so it never gets the chance to settle in.

Correct

Calm acute inflammation, same appointment.

Acute gingival inflammation and bleeding gums settle down, often within that same appointment. Magic 3 targets the anaerobic microbes behind the redness and bleeding, so your patients leave feeling lighter, not lectured.

Protect

Easier on enamel than the alternative.

When plaque has been sitting on a tooth for a while, the enamel underneath is already weakened. Abrasive pastes and powders can rough it up further. Magic 3 takes the gentler road, so you protect what’s already vulnerable while you clean.

Chapter Four

Real cases, real clinics.

Cases from clinicians in the Dr Wyman Chan certified dentist network using Magic 3 chairside, week in and week out. The same ten-minute appointment, the same gentle chemistry, the same quiet improvement.

Each row below shows a real patient: before Magic 3, during the foam application as it discloses and degrades plaque, and after a single rinse. No vibration, no scraping, no instruments.

Magic 3 three-stage case: heavy biofilm and inflamed gums before, the colourless foam mid-application disclosing and degrading plaque, and the same mouth after a single rinse with calmer gingival tissues.

Magic 3 case: inflamed gingival margins and visible plaque before, foam in action mid-protocol, and gum tissues calmed after the 10-minute application.
